Performance Wossner Porsche Piston for Porsche 964 3.6 Ltr. 1989-94 - 3.6 liter or 3.8 liter engine vehicles. Part No. 9017

Our Wossner Porsche 964 pistons are perfect for the track or everyday use. Wossner Porsche Pistons have an excellent reputation for longevity and performance.

In order to assure the highest quality forged pistons, Wossner produces all of their own forgings in a plant separate from their piston manufacturing facility. In this way they can completely control the quality of the forgings which so crucially affect the end product. Made from 4032 T6 Aluminum, these forged pistons will hold up to the abusive life of a high performance piston.

As far as performance modification, these pistons are made with a greater dome volume than stock (40.16 cc) so they will increase the Compression Ratio over the factory 11.3:1 to 11.8:1 giving a bit more HP and torque just from the raised compression ratio. The intake valve pockets measure 53.0 mm and the exhaust pockets 46mm giving plenty of room for valve clearance if you want to use larger valves for better breathing . The ring pack that comes with the piston kit is a state of the art 1.2mm top ring and 1.5 mm 2nd ring along with a 2.5mm oil ring which help to reduce friction and free up more HP. This piston for the 964 and the piston for the 993 are very similar, the only difference being the distance between the bosses which accepts the rod small end measures 28mm for the 964 but it measures 23mm for the 993,
