Our Wossner Porsche 911 pistons are perfect for the track or everyday use. Wossner Porsche Pistons have an excellent reputation for longevity and performance.
In order to assure the highest quality forgings from which to produce the pistons, Wossner purchased a Forging plant and does all of their own forgings, thereby not relying on an outside source for forgings which could so crucially affect the end product. Made from 4032 T6 Aluminum, these forged pistons will hold up to the abuse an air-cooled engine has to endure.
As far as performance modification, many engine builders want to use larger valves to help improve engine breathing. These pistons are made with 54.5mm intake pockets and 46mm exhaust pockets so larger valves can be used . They are also made with a greater dome volume than stock so they will increase the CR over the factory 10.3:1 up to 10.5:1 giving a bit more HP and torque just from the raised compression ratio. The ring pack that comes with the piston kit is a state of the art 1mm top ring and 1.2 mm 2nd ring along with a 2.5mm oil ring which help to reduce friction and free up more HP. If you want to increase your displacement to 3.4 liters while you are doing the build, these pistons are available in 98 mm as well.
